Overview
Lead iOS Engineer responsible for the technical direction and architecture of one or more flagship mobile applications.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve the mobile architecture across the app portfolio, including modularization, dependency boundaries, state management, navigation, and offline/sync strategy.
- Make and document technical decisions (native Swift vs Flutter/React Native, third-party SDK adoption, persistence/caching) with trade-off analysis and migration paths.
- Break down ambiguous multi-quarter initiatives into scoped, sequenced, estimable work.
- Own the release process, including versioning, release branching, phased rollouts, App Store submission escalations, kill switches, and rollback procedures.
- Define and enforce quality, performance, and reliability targets; instrument and profile issues using mobile tooling.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews/code review standards, and participate in hiring and onboarding.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 6+ years building and shipping production iOS applications.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role owning architecture and outcomes.
- Expert-level Swift with strong Objective-C interop and deep command of iOS SDK, Xcode, Instruments, and debugging toolchain.
- Expertise in concurrency and multithreading (GCD, Swift Concurrency/async-await, actors) and memory management.
- Strong experience with UIKit and SwiftUI plus reactive/asynchronous patterns (Combine or equivalent).
- Experience owning mobile CI/CD end to end (Fastlane, GitHub Actions), including App Store Connect release operations.
