Lead Software Engineer (Oracle/BI/.Net–Financial Reporting)

Overview

Lead a hands-on engineering team for Financial Reporting, building and maintaining mission-critical reports and dashboards.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end delivery of Reporting and BI features from technical design to production.
• Drive architecture decisions for scalable, high-performance dashboards using Oracle, BI tools, Azure, and .NET/C#.
• Lead AI-first development practices by mandating and coaching use of AI coding tools.
• Shape the technical roadmap in partnership with Product to protect long-term architectural health.
• Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and growth conversations for team retention and development.
• Enforce engineering standards including code quality gates, branch policies, code freeze discipline, and release management.
• Translate complex data reporting requirements into maintainable, production-ready software.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent demonstrated engineering depth.
• 10+ years of hands-on backend experience designing and developing enterprise SaaS applications with deep database understanding.
• 2+ years of engineering team management with a record of growing senior engineers and retaining high performers.
• Architect/Principal engineer-level expertise in relational databases (Oracle PL/SQL) including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience.
• Experience with Reporting/BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Day-to-day use of AI developer tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) and ability to coach teams.
