Lead Software Engineer - Python/Gen AI/RAG

Overview

Lead Software Engineer responsible for architecting and building a configuration-driven agentic AI platform, including GenAI, RAG, and multi-agent capabilities.

What you'll do

• Architect and build an agentic platform for configuring, deploying, and managing AI agents.
• Develop deep agents supporting planning, tool use, memory, and autonomous task execution.
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines for enterprise knowledge bases and documents.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into scalable backend services.
• Design orchestration layers for multi-agent routing, planning, execution, and result aggregation.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, observability, and production deployment.
• Mentor engineers and drive agentic system, prompt engineering, and AI safety practices.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Python expertise.
• Production experience building AI or Generative AI applications.
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, chunking, and retrieval optimization.
• Experience building agentic AI systems with orchestration, planning, tool-calling, and memory management.
• Strong API development skills with FastAPI or Flask and asynchronous programming with asyncio.
• Experience with logging, observability, resilience patterns, and distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience with enterprise authentication, CI/CD, or code quality tools.
• Financial services or capital markets experience.
• Familiarity with MCP or similar tool-integration standards.
