Overview

Lead Engineer – Software responsible for developing, enhancing, verifying, and technically owning aerospace engineering tools, applications, and reusable software libraries using JavaScript, C, and C++.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, document, test, and verify software applications and engineering tools.
• Build front-end applications and back-end services and components.
• Manage interfaces between applications, libraries, databases, and external components.
• Debug and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
• Own assigned features, components, dependencies, risks, and milestones.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in software application development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, C, and C++.
• Experience developing front-end and back-end applications.
• Experience developing software tools and reusable software libraries.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using Visual Studio or other development tools.
• Experience with configuration management, change control, software testing, and code-quality tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, avionics, safety-critical, or regulated software environments.
• Exposure to ARINC 661, ARINC 429, or AFDX.
• Working knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
