Lead Technical Architect – Microsoft Platform

Overview

Lead the global vision, strategy and roadmap for End User Computing, covering the end-to-end lifecycle of endpoint computing (OSD Imaging, Intune, SCCM) and acting as a trusted advisor to the business.

What you'll do

• Architect, design and evaluate blueprints for Microsoft SCCM, OSD Imaging, and application packaging and deployment.
• Partner with stakeholders to define the roadmap and strategies around EUC technologies.
• Design complex EUC solutions, lead workstreams on transformational programs, and ensure conformance to design standards, including prototyping new tools where appropriate.
• Shape EUC technical proposals, make solution and service trade-offs, and support the operations team.
• Establish Windows patch management strategies and guidelines in partnership with stakeholders.
• Provide guidelines and improvements for the existing OSD Imaging process and define its future roadmap.
• Research and streamline automated deployment, provisioning, policy management, application packaging, deployments and updates.
• Provide technical and operational governance across the End User Computing environment.
• Work with other technology groups to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement for infrastructure, services and support.
• Interact with vendors (including Microsoft) on planning and implementing solutions.
• Own resolution of technical challenges for SCCM, OSD Imaging, Intune and application packaging projects.
• Create and maintain project documentation (business requirements, statements of work, proofs of concept, technical designs).
• Review incidents and root causes, and keep documentation current.
• Provide the highest level of escalation support, investigating and resolving complex user issues.
• Participate in compliance and security reviews, working with internal teams to build security, reliability and scalability.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities, and gather requirements from stakeholders.
• Manage retention policies, data governance reports and dashboards, information holds, data import in the Security and Compliance Center, and inactive mailboxes.
• Deliver projects in agile sprints using scrum methodology, with documentation and compliance.

What you'll need

• Education: Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma.
• 15 to 20 years of SCCM OSD Imaging and upgrade working experience.
• Experience in SCCM infrastructure administration, application packaging and deployment, and endpoint patch management using SCCM.
• Experience integrating Intune with an on-premise SCCM environment to optimize a hybrid solution.
• Thorough understanding of OSD Imaging, Autopilot and Intune, Windows upgrades, PowerShell scripting and SSRS.
• Multinational corporation PC support experience.
• Experience designing reports and dashboards from SCCM and Intune.
• BeyondTrust expertise in the encryption model and troubleshooting skills.
• Stakeholder management: build trust and align technical teams, vendors and business partners.
• Communication: explain architecture and trade-offs to technical and nontechnical audiences, including executives.
• Influence and negotiation: gain alignment on standards, priorities and design decisions across teams.
• Leadership and collaboration: facilitate decisions, guide engineers and lead cross-functional work.
• Business and consulting mindset: connect technical choices to business outcomes, value and risk.
• Change management and adaptability: help teams adopt new platforms, processes and ways of working.
• Structured problem-solving: bring clarity to complex issues and drive decisions toward resolution.

Nice to have

• Merger, acquisition and divestiture working experience.
• Exposure and experience in Intune and security tools.
• Advanced PowerShell proficiency (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, Microsoft Graph) for automation, reporting and advanced configuration.
• Business and technical acumen.
• SCCM certification.
• Understanding of the CPG industry.
