Overview
Experienced Linux System Administrator for Analog Devices’ global Engineering-IT organization.
What you'll do
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Red Hat and Ubuntu Linux OS and applications.
- Monitor systems, apply patching, troubleshoot issues, and tune performance.
- Support enterprise infrastructure including identity/access controls and core services like DNS, LDAP, NFS, email, printing, and web/application servers.
- Administer HPC clusters, job scheduling platforms, and engineering data management tools.
- Implement security best practices, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and support audits/compliance.
- Monitor health, respond to outages, perform root cause analysis, and maintain operational documentation.
- Develop automation tools and support infrastructure automation, configuration management, and DevOps initiatives.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of Linux system administration experience.
- Experience managing enterprise Linux environments including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting (shell and Python) and advanced Linux command-line administration.
- Networking fundamentals knowledge including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, and NTP.
- Experience configuring monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
