Litigation and E-Discovery Counsel

Overview

Litigation and E-Discovery Counsel will manage commercial litigation, privacy-related legal requests, dispute resolution, and eDiscovery initiatives for Samsara.

What you'll do

• Manage active litigation, including discovery, legal briefs, witness preparation, and settlements.
• Advise on subpoenas and legal requests involving customer data.
• Provide risk mitigation advice and resolve potential disputes.
• Develop defensible eDiscovery guidelines, workflows, automation, and AI applications.
• Evaluate communication platforms to manage data risk and control external spend.
• Identify legal risks and procedural gaps, then design scalable mitigation strategies.
• Monitor commercial litigation trends and provide actionable legal guidance.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of litigation experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Experience handling legal risk, legal research, regulatory compliance, and data privacy frameworks.
• Experience managing commercial disputes, regulatory inquiries, or adversarial legal matters through resolution or trial.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Prior in-house experience at a technology company.

Details

• Remote position open to candidates residing in the United States, excluding the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
• Full-time annual base salary: $119,297.50–$180,450 USD.
