Employment and Compliance Counsel

Overview

Advise the People team and other stakeholders on global employment, compliance, and related legal matters within the Corporate Legal function.

What you'll do

• Advise on global employment law issues, including employee relations, performance, compensation, benefits, classification, and mobility.
• Prepare and negotiate employment and severance agreements.
• Support internal investigations involving misconduct, policy violations, disputes, and litigation.
• Develop and review workplace and compliance policies, processes, and guidance.
• Develop company-wide training on employment and compliance matters.
• Liaise with external counsel in the U.S. and other jurisdictions.
• Own employee compliance policies and collaborate across Legal and other teams.

What you'll need

• Juris Doctorate.
• 4–6 years of experience at a top-tier law firm and in a SaaS, data services, or technology company.
• Membership in a U.S. state bar in good standing.
• Expertise in U.S. and global employment law.
• Ability to provide pragmatic, commercial legal advice and anticipate and mitigate risk.
• Ability to work independently, own tasks, and collaborate across the company.

Nice to have

• Experience advising executives at high-growth technology companies.
• Familiarity with or interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain.
