Localization QA Tester - Norwegian

Overview

Localization QA Tester (Norwegian) evaluates localized content for linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, functional quality, and consistent user experience across languages.

What you'll do

• Execute full localization QA test cycles across platforms, OS versions, and testing environments.
• Review, verify, edit, score, and translate copy across multiple media and content types.
• Validate localized content for tone, grammar, context, cultural relevance, and linguistic correctness.
• Evaluate UI behavior for truncation, clipping, alignment, wrapping, and encoding issues.
• Report, track, and retest bugs to confirm fixes.
• Collaborate with PMs, translators, developers, and QA teams to maintain localization quality.

What you'll need

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, bug tracking, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail to identify nuanced linguistic or UI issues.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable testing across multiple tools, devices, and platforms.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and professionally.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in QA, Localization QA, or linguistic testing.
• Experience with CAT tools or localization platforms (e.g. Worldserver, memoQ, Smartling, Lokalise).
• Familiarity with internationalization and multilingual UX concepts.
• Familiarity with file formats such as .CSV, JSON, HTML, Unicode.
• Strong proficiency with macOS/iOS environments.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-functional teams.
