Senior Virtualization Engineer - Managed Services

Overview

Senior Virtualization Engineer for Managed Services, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting managed services for clients in a large-scale data center environment.

What you'll do

• Provide technical solutions to complex hardware/software problems.
• Deliver design, implementation, and technical support/consulting for Managed Services clients.
• Understand and follow CDW Managed Services SOP and service catalog requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for critical systems.
• Conduct throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning.
• Create and execute test plans for assigned components; perform root cause analysis for intermediate issues.
• Review service requests daily, provide status updates, and ensure accurate updates in problem tracking systems.

What you'll need

• 5+ years experience in a large-scale, multi-tenant data center environment with enterprise planning/design/implementation/support.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies and infrastructure.
• At least 3 years using scripting tools to automate tasks (e.g., Microsoft PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, and/or Cisco UCS PowerTool).
• Ability to resolve critical, time-sensitive issues within required service levels.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, a related technical degree, or equivalent experience.

Details

• Work mode: Remote (USA).
• Pay range: $106,000 - $150,180 per year, depending on experience and skill set.
