Job description

Overview

Distribution Center Logistics Executive (Inventory) keeps inventory accurate and customer orders moving across India operations, working closely with the third-party logistics (3PL) partner.

What you'll do

  • Own inventory accuracy: oversee cycle counts, physical stock checks, annual stocktakes and customs reconciliation.
  • Reconcile physical inventory against SAP and warehouse management system (WMS) records, and maintain documentation for internal audits.
  • Identify root causes of inbound and outbound stock variances, coordinate corrections for transfers, adjustments and customer returns, and reconcile differences in both units and value.
  • Oversee daily 3PL operations: set priorities, coordinate training for the 3PL inventory team and monitor productivity and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Track picking, packing, value-added services (VAS) and dispatch against order-to-delivery timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment, returns, damaged stock, stock redeployment and disposal.
  • Flag ageing and slow-moving stock to Planning and Commercial teams for action.
  • Work with the 3PL partner to close customer claims and inventory queries within 48 hours, and report open and closed claims daily.
  • Prepare stock reconciliation and slow-moving inventory reports, monitor daily and monthly KPIs, and flag risks to the Logistics Manager.
  • Coordinate delivery and collection schedules with the ELC Shipping team and the 3PL partner.

What you'll need

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in inventory and warehouse management.
  • A valid driving licence.
  • Strong distribution center operations knowledge, including stock reconciliation, cycle counting and outbound fulfilment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, warehouse management systems and Power BI, along with advanced Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate stock variances and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with 3PL partners and cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced distribution environment.
