Machine Learning Engineer

Overview

Machine Learning Engineer role on Adobe’s Search, Discovery, and Content AI (SDC) team, developing and optimizing ML models for search, recommendation, and content understanding.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize machine learning models and algorithms for search, recommendation, and content understanding.
• Build and deploy scalable generative AI solutions for intelligent content discovery and contextual recommendations.
• Handle data ingestion, search indexing, analytics, and distributed computing for real-time indexing at large scale.
• Apply ML and analytics to improve ranking and recommendations in the search workflow.
• Maintain and enhance search engine capabilities and develop new features using specified technologies.
• Integrate ML models into production systems with performance and reliability focus and end-to-end ML pipeline work.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to collaborators.

What you'll need

• 6–9 years of industry experience building and deploying machine learning systems at scale.
• Advanced degree such as a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field is preferred.
• Experience engineering SaaS-based software.
• Programming proficiency in Python (for ML/AI) and Java (good to have for production-grade systems).
• Expertise in ML frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Strong understanding of ML fundamentals including linear algebra, statistics, optimization, and numerical methods.
• Experience with AWS resources and search engine technology.
