Machine Learning Engineer III for ML Operations on Expedia’s Meta/SEM Bidding Programs team.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand cross-dependencies and shape solutions.
• Develop, refactor, and test complex ML and software components using software engineering practices.
• Design big data and ML applications for training, evaluation, and batch/streaming inference at scale.
• Evaluate, monitor, and operate ML models in production with online/offline metrics.
• Diagnose model and pipeline issues and drive mitigations like retraining and recalibration.
• Design and implement production guardrails to protect customer and business outcomes.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of end-to-end ML engineering experience for production pipelines.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• Strong command of Spark (or similar big data frameworks) for large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow and integrating models for inference at scale.
• Experience refactoring and scaling ML models for production performance metrics.
• Hands-on experience monitoring ML models in production with metrics/alerts and MLOps practices.
