Overview
Maintain and improve production and utility equipment and electrical and mechanical systems, diagnose faults, lead repairs, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient operations.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain utilities, production equipment, DG synchronizing panels, transformers, electrical installations, HVAC systems, STP, ETP and WTP.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of utility and production equipment.
- Diagnose faults, trace problems, service and repair machines, and lead repair efforts to minimize downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Provide technical expertise and manage contractor support.
- Ensure safety compliance and update maintenance documentation.
- Optimize maintenance procedures to improve machine performance.
- Prepare blueprints, technical diagrams and schematics.
- Ensure installations and applications meet customer needs and safety standards.
- Develop maintenance policies and procedures and respond to maintenance requests.
- Monitor maintenance and inspection plans.
- Read drawings, engineering specifications and tolerances.
- Prepare and deliver presentations using MS Presentations and use Excel and MS Word.
- Track and meet MTTR, MTBF and PM adherence KPI targets.
- Read and write electrical circuit diagrams and SLDs.
- Work on PLC programming, create PLC ladder diagrams and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Apply building management systems, business continuity plans and emergency preparedness practices.
- Apply 5S, Gemba, continual improvement projects, LEAN concepts and quality-tool-based root cause analysis.
- Prepare MIS reports for critical energy, water and waste parameters to meet department KPI objectives.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Maintain documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Handle government agencies and local authorities or agencies.
- Follow a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Demonstrate a self-directed and high-performance culture as a team player.
- Interact with and maintain good professional relationships with relevant cross-functional teams.
What you'll need
- BE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the Maintenance department, especially in Operation and Maintenance, Preventive & Breakdown maintenance of Utility and production maintenance and spare parts management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Presentation; this is mandatory.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational, time management and people skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Exposure to ISO and OHSAS standards and experience facing internal and external audits.
- Experience with documentation work.
- Knowledge of QMS systems such as ISO 14000, ISO 18001 and EMS.
- Self-motivated, self-driven, open-minded and a good team player.
- Willingness to accept cultural changes and adapt to them with least possible time.
Nice to have
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is an added advantage.
- Exposure to handling government agencies and local authorities or agencies.
