Management Accounting Lead

Overview

Lead management accounting activities that support timely, accurate financial reporting and decision-making across assigned entities, working closely with finance leaders, commercial and supply chain partners, and external service providers.

What you'll do

• Lead the month-end management close for assigned entities, ensuring accurate P&L and balance sheet postings and timely delivery of management packs.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and control activities, investigate variances and drive timely resolution.
• Prepare clear financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions and senior stakeholder reviews.
• Partner with commercial, supply chain and tax teams to ensure transactions are correctly recorded and reported.
• Work with shared service partners and external providers to ensure consistent delivery and improve process efficiency.
• Support process improvements and reporting automation, including ERP and reporting tool changes.

What you'll need

• Degree or professional accounting qualification (for example ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent practical experience in accounting.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting, financial reporting, or statutory accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and month-end close processes.
• Practical experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Proven ability to prepare analyses, reconciliations and management commentary for stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience working with shared service providers or BPOs and managing external delivery partners.
• Familiarity with SOX or similar internal control frameworks and audit preparation.
• Exposure to supply chain finance or intercompany accounting.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for data analysis and automation.
• Track record of leading small teams or mentoring junior accountants.
• Experience in finance transformation or ERP migration projects, including testing and cutover support.
