Associate Director, Finance Controlling / Entity

Overview

Lead finance controlling and entity accounting for assigned legal entities in India, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

What you'll do

• Lead month-end close for assigned entities and deliver accurate profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
• Produce clear variance and commercial analysis to explain performance and support business decisions.
• Partner with business leads and shared services to prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly reforecasts.
• Strengthen accounting processes, controls, and automation to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable local regulations.
• Coach and develop team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting, finance controlling, or similar roles.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and applicable local accounting rules.
• Practical experience with ERP systems such as SAP and strong Excel skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English and ability to work with multicultural teams.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or coaching a small to medium finance team.
• Hands-on experience with financial planning and analysis, including driver-based forecasting.
• Familiarity with reporting and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Prior exposure to internal and external audits, tax reporting, and regulatory filings in an international environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and supporting change and transformation.
