Manager, Dev Ops

Overview

Manage software development, infrastructure rollout and cloud operations for the DevOps team, setting goals, hiring engineers and prioritizing projects while staying involved in cloud infrastructure and operations decisions.

What you'll do

• Manage software development, infrastructure rollout and cloud operations in collaboration with design, buildout, documentation and testing teams for new and existing features.
• Analyze and resolve cloud infrastructure issues and needs across the software's full life cycle.
• Oversee end-to-end operations activities for teams and their projects.
• Monitor reliability and performance of all infrastructure and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and software development projects by setting requirements, goals and timelines.
• Design strategies for future development projects based on the company's overall objectives and resources.
• Implement innovative technologies.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical oversight to the team.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Find opportunities to improve operational and developmental processes.
• Build out onboarding and mentoring programs to teach and train engineers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of professional DevOps experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Ability to write scripts in one major scripting language such as Bash, PowerShell and/or Python.
• Ability to plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality targets.
• Understanding of container and DevOps technologies.
• Excellent communicator, capable of understanding and explaining the big picture to all levels of stakeholders, vendors and clients.
• Experience working through large, complex projects with multiple timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform or another public cloud platform.
