Manager, Engineering - Java full-stack

Overview

Engineering Manager (Java full-stack) to lead and empower software development teams delivering secure, scalable, highly available solutions.

What you'll do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to software engineers.
• Oversee design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, highly available Java applications.
• Define and drive architectural best practices for microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native design.
• Lead team management including setting goals, performance expectations, mentoring, and balancing workloads.
• Drive continuous improvement using metric-driven insights and monitor operational metrics.
• Lead large-scale project execution using Agile and collaborate with product, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule for application reliability and business continuity.

What you'll need

• 12–14 years of software development experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on Java experience including Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Full-stack development experience.
• Experience designing and operating secure, scalable, highly available distributed systems.
• Hands-on cloud platform experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable).
• Strong database knowledge (MySQL or other relational databases).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
