Overview
Manage first-line support and the overall customer experience for Caterpillar's ERP Application Security team, while leading a global ERP Security organization and establishing support capabilities for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Archiving solutions.
What you'll do
- Own and drive incidents, service tasks, problem tickets and system optimization for the operations portfolio, ensuring delivery against commitments, SLAs and outcomes.
- Establish, monitor and continuously improve standard work, communicating progress, risks and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage and develop a multi-disciplinary organization delivering business and technical solutions, including process functionality, technical capability and automation.
- Partner with business units and decision makers on day-to-day operations, incident and problem resolution, and continuous service improvement.
- Implement and govern common operating procedures, controls and metrics to strengthen quality, compliance and operational resilience.
- Lead, mentor and develop high-performing IT teams and foster a collaborative, results-oriented work environment.
- Execute multiple priorities and business requirements.
- Develop solutions that meet enterprise needs, with options for differentiated business capabilities as needed.
- Develop and manage the IT budget for the area of accountability.
- Deliver highly available IT services through service level management practices that flex with changing business demands.
- Provide strategic direction for managing staff, budgets, business plans, project plans and developing 2-5-year plans on Information Services.
- Work with diversified departments, integration partners, technology vendors and managed service partners.
- Provide guidance to teams resolving issues in a timely manner and lead technical teams with focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Lead and/or direct teams within or outside of the discipline addressing complex problems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
What you'll need
- Relevant computer science masters or graduate degree.
- 10 plus years of progressively complex Information Service experience, including staff and supervisory assignments in Information Services and related areas.
- Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
- In-depth functional and technical knowledge of ERP security, including SAP GRC Access Control, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and role design.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), change management and ITIL practices.
- Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or automated agent workflows, to accelerate application development or support, cost or effort reduction, or support optimization.
- Demonstrated experience with AI tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SOX, segregation of duties (SoD) and audit principles.
- Experience managing contracts and vendor relationships.
- A Lean or Continuous Improvement background.
- Ability to translate between technical and business language, creating a bridge between the support organization and the Caterpillar business they serve.
- Experience as a leader in the IT space.
- General understanding of basic business operations, including one or more of general business processes, technical infrastructure, application development and support of major projects, and engineering functional applications.
- Ability to work with diversified departments along with effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer focus and business knowledge.

- Ability to lead, analyze and have a broader perspective on specific technology and related solutions, including application solutions, interfaces, security, data governance policies and procedures.

Details
- Location: Bangalore, Karnataka.
- This role requires 5 days onsite each week.
- Shift timing: 01:00-10:00 PM IST.
- The position may require travel of up to 25%.
- Relocation is unavailable.
