Manager, Sustainable Operations

Overview

Manage sustainable operations for JLL, covering energy, environmental compliance, ESG reporting, facilities coordination, waste management and stakeholder engagement on an on-site role in Bengaluru.

What you'll do

• Lead energy optimization programs across electrical, HVAC and utility systems, using consumption data to identify savings opportunities, benchmark performance and drive corrective action with FM and engineering teams.
• Track renewable energy utilization, including PPA-sourced supply, and drive progress toward green energy targets.
• Manage Environmental Management System (EMS) audits and statutory compliance (e.g., ISO 14001/50001), and support green building certification processes (e.g., IGBC), maintaining documentation and liaising with certification bodies and regulators as needed.
• Oversee utility and sustainability data collection, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting on energy, water, waste and carbon metrics, including CDP submissions.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for internal leadership and client stakeholders, working with Finance and FM to ensure data integrity.
• Act as the key liaison between sustainability programs and FM, influencing and coordinating FM resource support, often without direct authority, to prioritize initiatives, secure delivery capacity and execute energy, waste and compliance projects across sites.
• Oversee waste segregation, training and audit programs, and champion eco-friendly workplace initiatives (e.g., energy-efficient lighting, recycling) in coordination with site and business unit teams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on energy and environmental matters, communicate progress and success stories to build program engagement, and bring forward innovative ideas to improve sustainability performance.
