Managing Director, Head of Finance Platform Centers of Excellence

Overview

Lead the build-out of India-based Centers of Excellence for Workiva, Anaplan and Axiom/Regnology Abacus360 Reporting within the Finance Data & AI Office (DART), enabling Finance process transformation, reengineering and automation.

What you'll do

• Establish and lead Centers of Excellence for Workiva, Anaplan and Axiom/Regnology Abacus360 Reporting, defining operating model, roles, skills, standards, governance and ways of working for each.
• Translate DART and Finance transformation priorities into platform roadmaps, capability-building plans and measurable outcomes.
• Create clear accountability across Finance domain owners, DART platform teams, Technology and implementation partners.
• Build the Workiva COE supporting transformation of financial, statutory and other prioritized reporting processes, including reusable templates, workflow patterns, controls and data-integration practices.
• Establish an Anaplan COE supporting planning, forecasting, performance management and other prioritized use cases, including modeling standards, reusable components and model lifecycle disciplines.
• Lead the Axiom/Regnology Abacus360 Reporting COE supporting regulatory reporting processes, including configuration, change management, testing, reconciliation, lineage and controls.
• Ensure platform implementations start with the business outcome and process, and develop process-redesign playbooks that exploit native platform capabilities and eliminate unnecessary legacy activities.
• Establish practical platform standards covering design, configuration, testing, deployment, access, change management, documentation and support.
• Embed Finance control requirements, segregation of duties, approval workflows, traceability and auditability into platform design and delivery.
• Partner with DART Data Product & Governance and Technology so platforms consume certified, reusable data wherever available.
• Provide functional leadership in engagements with implementation partners, and establish explicit knowledge-transfer and capability-building requirements in every partner engagement.
• Build and develop high-performing India teams across Workiva, Anaplan and Axiom/Regnology Abacus360, including training, certification, mentoring, career pathways and succession plans.
• Partner with the Head of DART on global functional strategy and with the DART India Regional Lead on local leadership and execution, and provide transparent reporting on delivery, capacity, risks and capability maturity.

What you'll need

• Significant leadership experience across Finance transformation, enterprise Finance platforms, regulatory reporting or related capabilities in a large financial-services organization.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes, including accounting, statutory reporting, regulatory reporting, planning, forecasting and management reporting.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise platform implementations and/or Centers of Excellence.
• Deep experience in at least one of Workiva, Anaplan, Axiom/Regnology Abacus360 or comparable enterprise Finance platforms, with the ability to lead across the broader portfolio.
• Strong understanding of platform operating models, design standards, governance, controls and lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, technology-enabled capabilities.
• Strong process-reengineering orientation and ability to challenge legacy processes constructively.
• Experience building internal capability and transitioning knowledge from consulting or implementation partners.
• Strong understanding of data integration, data governance, lineage, reconciliation and controls in a Finance environment.
• Experience operating within a highly controlled and regulated environment.
• Proven ability to lead global stakeholders and teams across organizational and geographic boundaries.
• Exceptional executive communication, judgment and change leadership.

Nice to have

• Deep experience in banking, capital markets, asset servicing or another regulated financial-services environment.
• Direct experience establishing or leading platform COEs.
• Hands-on or leadership experience with Workiva, Anaplan and/or Axiom/Regnology Abacus360.
• Understanding of Finance data models, general ledger, legal entities and regulatory reporting data structures.
• Experience integrating Finance platforms with enterprise data platforms.
• Experience modernizing spreadsheet- or manual-intensive Finance processes.
• Experience supporting regulatory remediation, Finance controls, audit or examinations.
• Familiarity with AI and automation applied to Finance workflow, reporting, planning and control processes.
• CPA, CFA, MBA or equivalent Finance, accounting or technology qualification.

• Based in India; reports functionally to the Head of DART and locally to the DART India Regional Lead.
