Manufacturing Engineer Cost Modeler (Remote)

Overview

Remote Manufacturing Engineer Cost Modeler focused on developing and maintaining manufacturing part cost estimation models and analyzing cost impacts of product design and technology changes.

What you'll do

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, and the Partnership Program Office.
• Develop and maintain cost estimation models, methods, and estimating rationale for stakeholder decisions.
• Review engineering changes, product definition, supplier information, and manufacturing data to assess manufacturing cost impacts.
• Support Manufacturing Readiness (MRL) by providing cost estimates and evaluations.
• Assess financial impact of new technologies and support manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.
• Potentially participate in supplier and partner negotiations to substantiate cost model elements.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience if holding a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical) or related technical degree.
• Or, minimum 3 years experience with an advanced degree in a related field.
• Proficiency working in the NX environment.
• Ability to adapt to tools such as DFMA and aPriori.
• Collect and analyze data within the O365 ecosystem.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis.
• Travel up to 15% domestic & international.
