Cost Engineering Associate

Overview

Cost Engineering Associate (Electronics) responsible for creating price calculations and supporting quotation preparation for electronic components, and leading early-stage cost estimations and value engineering activities.

What you'll do

• Create cost/price calculations for target costing and quotations for electronic components.
• Lead project cost estimations in the early innovation stage for decision-making.
• Drive design-to-cost sourcing activities for electronic commodity projects.
• Identify and lead Value Added/Value Engineering initiatives to optimize project costs.
• Conduct cost audits to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Check technical feasibility and determine an optimal editing methodology and assembly/processing strategy.
• Support supplier negotiations and provide technical substantiation for cost price calculations and reports.

What you'll need

• Work as a Cost Engineer Electronics specialist for electronic components (e.g., wire harness, battery packs, BMS, PCB, high voltage systems, electric motors).
• Perform cost price calculation for target operations and purchasing.
• Assess customer specifications for completeness and feasibility.
• Communicate with internal operations, purchasing, suppliers, and account teams.
• Coordinate assembly and processing strategy with operations.
• Provide technical substantiation for cost price calculations and associated reports.
