Engineer - Mechanical

Overview

Mechanical Engineer responsible for executing New Product Introduction (NPI) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects for GEIS products, supporting cost savings and compliance to global design standards.

What you'll do

• Execute NPI projects across product conceptualization, detailing, design validation, and testing.
• Work on VAVE initiatives to support cost savings initiatives.
• Run cross-functional, multi-disciplinary engineering decisions for project execution.
• Create and release CAD deliverables (2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies) via PLM/ERP per project plan.
• Develop IEC/UL-aligned test plans, requirements, parameters, and instrumentation.
• Conduct tests, assess results, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Create intellectual property documents for new product design concepts and ideas.

What you'll need

• B.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Technical knowledge in mechanical product design (including sheet metal preferred).
• Hands-on experience from concept to commercialization, including cost-out activities and design engineering.
• Proficiency with GD&T and tools/methods including Six Sigma, DFMEA, DFMA, and UL/IEC certification.
• CAD tool experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks (must) and Creo; also SAP & ENOVIA.
• Ability to perform system and component sizing, design, and testing activities.
