Tooling Design Engineer

Overview

Tooling Design Engineer to design and implement custom tooling fixtures and material handling systems for semiconductor and manufacturing equipment.

What you'll do

• Liaise with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to understand assembly and testing requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement custom material handling systems, tooling, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues related to assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to execute engineering projects and meet technical specifications.
• Serve as a primary technical interface for stakeholders on mechanical design challenges.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and document engineering tests and produce test reports.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8–15 years of experience in design/development of SPMs, assembly line automation, and fixture design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of automated fixture design and material selection.
• Proficiency in creating manufacturing drawings and defining tolerances with GD&T.
• Hands-on experience selecting mechanisms and complementary OEMs.
• Good knowledge of sheet metal applications wherever necessary.
• Working knowledge of CAD tools.
