Sustaining Engineering - Product Development

Overview

Sustaining Engineering role in product development for automotive low-voltage and high-voltage connector systems. You will deliver product engineering and validation outputs, including CAD development, test/IR evaluation, and sustaining improvements.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end product engineering solutions for Flow 5 activity and processing product validation.
• Develop complex 3D parts, large assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings with Siemens NX.
• Support production validation (PV) and perform IR evaluation using CT scan by analyzing test results.
• Apply engineering change expertise through ECR/ECN and support field failure investigations and root cause analysis.
• Drive sustaining engineering improvements for cost optimization, design enhancements, and issue resolution across the product lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with automotive safety, tooling feasibility, and manufacturability during cross-functional execution.

What you'll need

• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis for dimensional accuracy.
• Hands-on capability for IR evaluation using CT scan.
• Knowledge of DFM, DFA, and DFMEA.
• Familiarity with OEM specifications and data handling in multiple portals.
• Bill of Design (BOD) accountability/ownership on projects.
