Mechanical Design Engineer – Cooling Systems / Radiator Design

Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced radiator and cooling package systems for large diesel, gas, and power generation engines.

What you'll do

• Design radiator and cooling systems for large diesel and gas engine applications.
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials.
• Perform packaging studies and integration within engine compartments.
• Conduct engineering analysis including structural, pressure containment, vibration/fatigue, and thermal expansion calculations.
• Lead product development from concept design and engineering analysis through validation, manufacturing support, and product launch.
• Support testing and validation including failure investigation and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with thermal engineers, engine integration teams, simulation engineers, suppliers, and customers.

What you'll need

• 3-8+ years of experience in mechanical design of cooling systems, radiators, heat exchangers, or related products.
• A bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of heat exchanger design and radiator construction/materials.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including brazing, welding, sheet metal fabrication, tube forming, aluminium fabrication, and metal coatings.
• Experience with FEA/CFD tools such as ANSYS, Fluent, Star-CCM+, or HyperMesh.
• Skills in GD&T and engineering drawings, plus tolerance stack-up analysis.
