Electromechanical Design Engineer - HVDC

Overview

Electromechanical Design Engineer - HVDC responsible for primary engineering understanding, installation drawings, and detail design for HVDC converter station and yard equipment while ensuring safety and quality.

What you'll do

• Understand technical requirements for primary engineering of HVDC converter station.
• Deliver installation drawings and detail design for yard materials while ensuring safety of the end equipment and HVDC station.
• Use advanced CAD/CAM/CAE tools to complete CAD activities on time and to quality standards.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques for substation layout design and civil inputs.
• Prepare installation drawings and detail design for connectors, insulators, and bills of materials and estimated engineering hours.
• Provide technical support for FAT, installation, and commissioning of HVDC projects.
• Prepare project documentation and obtain customer approvals for designs and drawings; interact with customers and contractors to meet delivery, budget, and quality targets.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 2 to 5 years minimum experience in design of primary layout of electrical UHV/EHV substation projects.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and ACC.
• Knowledge of NX and Teamcenter or similar 3D tools.
• Knowledge of substation engineering for UHV/EHV substation projects with PLM tools.
• Experience working with advanced 3D CAD tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
