Primary Engineer - Gas Insulated Switchgear

Overview

Primary Engineer in the GIS Primary/Offer Engineering team supporting sales & tendering engineers with tender-specific engineering documents and drawings for Gas Insulated Switchgear projects.

What you'll do

• Prepare drawings and documents for customer submission and production for GIS above 66kV.
• Develop engineering calculations including system resistance, thermal loss, gas volume, earthing mat, and cable calculations.
• Create bill of material (BOM) calculations and generate cost estimations based on BOM.
• Perform self-review and peer review of documents.
• Coordinate with team members and Sales Support Engineers/Area Sales Managers to complete tasks on time.
• Maintain and update project/tender documentation per the quality process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

What you'll need

• 3–8 years of experience with a B.E or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Knowledge of CAD tools including Creo and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with codes and applicable standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Excellent knowledge of high voltage products and substation.
• Minimum 2 years of substation or high voltage product design (tender or execution).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sales pressure and prepare solutions on time.
