Marketing Events Manager

Overview

Plan and execute events hosted in India for global tech MNC marketing projects, from large events to small user groups, working as the event project manager with product, solutions marketing and other stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Oversee planning, production and execution of events hosted in India, from large events to small user groups.
• Assist in defining and creating event goals, keeping business needs in mind to ensure event success.
• Serve as event project manager, including pre-event consultation and planning, venue selection, agenda development and event flow, event promotion and registration, printing and shipping, budget management, related travel arrangements, staffing, event follow-up and reporting.
• Work with the event owner on speaker identification, content creation, collateral and swag creation.
• Handle on-site duties including ensuring proper set-up and signage, registration coordination, AV testing, speaker management and time management.
• Manage event calendar, project timelines and event budget.
• Drive pre-event weekly meetings, including ownership of event planning documentation.
• Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event trip reports.
• Work closely with marketing, sales, product teams, PR, upper management and field evangelists to achieve business goals via event marketing.

What you'll need

• 6-8 years of experience in the event industry with reputed agencies or brands, or 10-12 years of experience in the event industry with reputed agencies or brands.
• Track record of running successful events.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with tech companies, design agencies, content production projects.
• Passion for and inquisitiveness about AI and new technologies.
• Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial; ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical.
