Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer role in Bangalore focusing on solving mechanical problems, designing custom mechanical tooling/processes, and supporting assembly/disassembly across the product life cycle.

What you'll do

• Perform engineering analysis under general supervision.
• Design or modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications under general supervision.
• Coordinate procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts/subsystems.
• Perform and document engineering test reports and generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems of moderate difficulty under general supervision.
• Design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes.
• Enable handling, assembly, and/or disassembly of parts through the product life cycle.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Experience with CAD software (preferred).
• Understanding of thermodynamics and material selection (preferred).
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and GD&T (preferred).
• Working with sheet metal design, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles (preferred).
• Added advantage: experience in semiconductor wafer fab equipment design.
