Mechanical Engineer, Sr.

Overview

Design and improve mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, supporting feasibility studies, testing, detailed design, fabrication, and product packaging.

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through analysis, documentation, testing, and validation.
• Generate engineering drawings and define GD&T.
• Modify existing parts to meet new requirements.
• Resolve design issues during first builds, product performance investigations, and customer field issues.
• Conduct design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams in India and the US.
• Perform hand calculations for stress, deflection, factor of safety, center of gravity, and static and dynamic conditions.
• Design machined components, frames, and sheet metal parts.

What you'll need

• 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Creo.
• Experience with 3D modeling, assembly, and detailing using Creo.
• Ability to design sheet metal and machined structures and release manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• M.Tech qualification.
• Knowledge of NX, PDM or PLM systems, and engineering change management.
• Knowledge of thermal calculations and basic simulations.
