Medical Copy Quality Assurance Specialist

Overview

Review and quality-check medical and scientific digital marketing materials (emails, banners, ads and other digital assets) for the US market, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance.

What you'll do

• Review and QC medical/scientific digital materials for foundational quality, fit to brief, language use, style, spelling, grammar and formatting.
• Verify scientific and medical accuracy of content and confirm claims are evidence-based and supported by reliable sources.
• Check consistency with brand guidelines, technical specifications and current medical guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Conduct language checks for clarity, conciseness and readability, tailored to the target audience.
• Verify consistency of terminology, branding and tone, and completeness of text elements such as footnotes, references and abbreviations.
• Validate images, charts and graphics for scientific accuracy and appropriate usage.
• Ensure compliance with US regulations, industry standards and client-specific guidelines, and flag material requiring further legal or medical review.
• Perform final review and give final approval once material is error-free and ready for distribution.
• Collaborate with writers, designers and project managers to address feedback and implement revisions.
• Keep thorough records of QC findings, track revisions and document outcomes.

What you'll need

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong medical or science background.
• Proven experience in quality control processes, particularly reviewing medical or scientific content.
• Minimum C2 level proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, consistency, clarity and scientific rigor.
• Ability to work within a team and in different time zones.
• Experience with standard IT applications, preferably including Google suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and prioritize tasks.
• Collaborative attitude, customer-service mentality and can-do attitude.
• Continuous improvement and growth mindset.

Nice to have

• A higher degree in life sciences is highly preferred; candidates with other relevant experience will also be considered.
