Overview
Junior Messaging Engineer to support administration and maintenance of an enterprise messaging and collaboration environment.
What you'll do
- Support day-to-day administration of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 Exchange Online.
- Monitor messaging service health and respond to alerts, incidents, and incidents.
- Handle mailbox administration, distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and mail flow troubleshooting.
- Support Microsoft Outlook and messaging-related user issues.
- Monitor and support email security including spam filtering, phishing protection, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
What you'll need
- 1–2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, or enterprise messaging environments.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Online administration.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Outlook and troubleshooting email-related issues.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory for user accounts, security groups, and distribution lists.
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell with willingness to learn scripting/automation.
- Understanding of email protocols such as SMTP, IMAP, POP3, and TLS.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and email security (spam and phishing protection).
Details
- Location: Mumbai.
- Shift: US shift (8:30 pm - 5:30 am IST) on an India schedule.
- Requires weekend work and alternate shifts as needed for 24x5 operational support.
