Overview
Mission Control Specialist responsible for major incident command-and-control, coordination across support/engineering teams, and governing incident, change, and disaster recovery processes.
What you'll do
- Monitor, triage, and assess incidents across global markets and technology platforms.
- Lead major incidents with structured response, restoration, and decision-making.
- Coordinate recovery across L1/L2/L3 support, engineering, infrastructure, and third-party vendors.
- Manage incident communications with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Trigger and govern disaster recovery failover based on predefined criteria.
- Maintain audit-ready incident documentation and facilitate post-incident reviews (RCA/post-mortems).
- Govern end-to-end change management, including CAB facilitation and maintenance windows.
What you'll need
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- Experience with incident/alerting tools such as PagerDuty, FireHydrant, or Everbridge.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, ITIL, SDLC, release management, SRE, observability, and reliability engineering concepts.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated, mission-critical environments, including disaster recovery and failover events.
- Solid understanding of severity classification, escalation protocols, on-call models, and major incident management.
- Proven experience in incident, problem, change, and event management in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Ability to work in shifts to support a global follow-the-sun operating model.
