Monitoring Engineer

Overview

Monitor enterprise applications and infrastructure, detect and triage incidents, and coordinate escalations across L2/L3 teams in a global 24×7 operations environment.

What you'll do

• Monitor eCommerce, POS, ERP, integrations, cloud, and network systems.
• Identify anomalies, alerts, and potential incidents in real time.
• Perform first-level alert validation and execute runbooks.
• Create incident tickets and maintain updates in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Escalate incidents with clear documentation and context.
• Coordinate incident communications and support major incident bridge calls.
• Improve monitoring coverage, alert quality, automation, and operational documentation.

What you'll need

• Experience with monitoring or observability tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, AppDynamics, Zabbix, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Understanding of eCommerce, POS, ERP, API integrations, cloud, and network infrastructure.
• Basic knowledge of networking, databases, and system performance.
• Ability to interpret logs, dashboards, and monitoring alerts.
• Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in 24×7 operations or NOC environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail, eCommerce, or global enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with automation or scripting using Python or Shell.
• ITIL certification.
