National Product Manager

Overview

Manage a large portfolio of distributed products to achieve sales revenue, profit and return on invested capital targets, working with product managers, solution and sales managers to maximise market share with suppliers and wallet share with customers.

What you'll do

• Drive profitability of the assigned group of line cards.
• Achieve sales, profit and breadth targets.
• Manage vendor relationships and strategic planning.
• Develop and sustain customer buying plans and buying proficiency with the business.
• Develop and implement sales training for the internal sales team.
• Develop and implement sales programs and marketing strategy for the partner base.
• Ensure success of the supplier-to-customer supply chain.

What you'll need

• 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience directly managing or supervising employees.
• Minimum Diploma.
• Experience in the distribution business, either in channel management, product marketing management or a similar capacity in a high volume, fast-paced sales and marketing function.
• Ability to lead a team of like-minded professionals to address a high pace, high volume sales and marketing business.
• Ability to plan, strategise and assign appropriate workload to team members.
• Knowledge of IT channel business, supply chain and government tendering process.
• Ability to publicly speak.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written), listen, and problem solve with market players.
• Ability to gather and analyse information and apply sound judgement in reaching conclusions and setting resolution priorities.
