Network Engineer II

Overview

Network Engineer II focused on network security and secure connectivity between NCR Voyix and non-NCR Voyix devices. Handles second-level technical trouble support and alert processing for potential security incidents.

What you'll do

• Review security events and alerts within monitoring systems.
• Support IPSEC VPN configurations, setups, and troubleshooting.
• Provide front line support for inbound Internet gateway changes supporting secure access.
• Assist perimeter network security implementations including extranet VPNs, intrusion prevention, and reverse proxies.
• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot network security platforms when needed.
• Update technical documentation as needed.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience.
• 5-8 years overall experience with at least 4 years in networking and/or security.
• Experience with IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalling concepts.
• In-depth understanding of firewall rules, policies, ports, blocks, and VPN technologies.
• Must have experience with F5 Load balancer.
• Must have experience with Fortinet Firewall.
• Experience with secure remote access tools like Zscaler ZPA and FortiClient.
• Experience with network/security infrastructure tools including SolarWinds and Thousand Eyes.
