Operational Risk & Control Testing, WM Risk Analyst, Wealth Management

Overview

Operational Risk & Control Testing role within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, focused on independent testing of key controls and operational risk monitoring across WM functions.

What you'll do

• Define and execute test scripts across Wealth Management functions, targeting key controls that mitigate critical risks.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and support change management activities including root cause analysis and issue/action plan definition.
• Support operational risk management initiatives and special projects including issue/action plan tracking and incident management.
• Track and communicate operational risk metrics for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Respond to audit inquiries and support targeted remediation.
• Support development and maintenance of team procedures, risk management tools, and data repositories.

What you'll need

• 0.6 to 2 years of experience in financial services, preferably operational risk disciplines such as testing/control validation.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a small team environment and coordinate with many stakeholders.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Qualified Accountant with audit experience and a control testing background.
