Overview
Provide end-to-end support to investment company clients by preparing and reviewing financial statements, portfolio schedules and mandatory reports for audit, review and regulatory submission. The Associate 2 also supports team operations, training, risk management, workflow coordination and issue resolution.
What you'll do
- Prepare and perform first-level reviews on client financial statements, NQs, Form N-MFP and other similar forms or activities.
- Clear comments and assist with drafting and supporting distribution to clients and auditors.
- Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed-upon time.
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching to all staff.
- Provide performance feedback to the manager for review.
- Ensure staff understand all Standard Operating Procedures, Key Controls and Client Specific Procedures or Checklists.
- Estimate personnel needs, assign work, oversee short-term deliverables and coordinate workflow.
- Maintain working knowledge of the overall process operating model while assisting with deployment of operational changes.
- Ensure the team achieves accuracy and meets predetermined deadlines.
- Implement standard practices, processes, tools and technology enhancements.
- Use automation effectively and make recommendations for current system enhancements.
- Participate in researching and resolving client issues.
- Volunteer for ad-hoc projects and help with last-minute requests.
- Resolve issues and prioritize actions in the absence of the direct manager.
- Assist with coordinating activities between multiple departments, including global offshoring partners.
- Draft and update task lists for offshoring partners, ensure supporting documentation is available and act as the primary contact for their questions and issues.

Nice to have
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- CA, CPA, ACCA or similar professional qualification.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS or similar standards.
- 2+ years to 4+ years of experience in Fund Financial Reporting, accounting or finance.
- Fund accounting experience.
- Transaction processing and management experience.
- Financial analysis experience.

- Location: Bangalore, India.
- Work shifts allow reasonable overlap with US, APAC and EMEA hours and allow time for training, on-the-job practice and feedback.
