Overview
Work on local and global projects adapting HVDC cybersecurity for SCADA and HMI systems, developing cybersecurity architectures and functional descriptions, and implementing secure IT/OT infrastructure for HVDC projects.
What you'll do
- Adapt HVDC cybersecurity for SCADA and HMI systems in local and global projects.
- Develop architecture and functional descriptions for functions and solutions for future HVDC cybersecurity technologies.
- Design and develop secured network architecture for SCADA systems with advanced cybersecurity features.
- Evaluate and strengthen the security of connections to the SCADA network.
- Prepare and perform test case scenarios and participate in Factory System Test.
- Support projects in resolving issues related to cybersecurity functions.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across business units to obtain inputs and optimize HVDC cybersecurity solutions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of IT/OT infrastructure implementation for HVDC projects, including servers, workstations, thin clients, firewalls, switches, and associated network devices.
- Configure, integrate, test, document, and commission infrastructure according to approved HVDC architecture, project requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor and validate third-party security patches to maintain system reliability.
- Implement security features provided by device and system vendors.
- Establish controls over media used as a backdoor into the SCADA network.
- Implement internal and external intrusion detection systems in the SCADA network.
- Perform technical audits of SCADA devices, networks, and connected networks to identify security concerns.
- Conduct physical security surveys and assess remote sites connected to the SCADA network.
- Maintain the test environment with updated software and hardware for current and future use.
- Handle backups and imaging on servers and workstations, and manage patches.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
What you'll need
- A bachelor’s engineering degree in EEE, ECE, or E&I.
- In-depth knowledge of networking, firewalls, and cybersecurity.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the networking or cybersecurity domain.
- Basic knowledge of the IEC 62443 standard.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to plan and own tasks through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working in cybersecurity for SCADA projects or an OT environment.
