P&C Actuary Consultant II (Reserving)

Overview

The P&C Actuary Consultant II executes projects supporting reserving for insurance business, using accepted actuarial and statistical standards, and works with analytics management and key business partners to develop and execute reserving methodologies and modeling techniques of moderate complexity.

What you'll do

• Leverage understanding of insurance business, products, markets and regulatory environments in creating business strategies and decisions, building expertise within a specialized area.
• With limited coaching, review and ensure the quality of data used to perform actuarial and statistical services within multiple tools/applications.
• Manage and/or contribute to projects of moderate complexity and moderate scale using accepted project management standards, with limited guidance.
• Communicate analysis results to management and non-technical users, making recommendations and providing support for assumptions and methodologies.
• Use best practices, with limited coaching, to perform basic to moderately complex analysis using traditional actuarial, statistical and/or predictive modeling techniques, including proper documentation and evaluation, to provide insights and meet business needs.

What you'll need

• 4 year Bachelor's Degree.
• Active pursuit of Casualty Actuarial Society exams is required.
• In lieu of the education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Skills: Actuarial Science, Analytics, Business Analysis, Business Process Development, Data Analytics, Financial Analysis.

• 2 or more years of experience.

• Location: US - Remote.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
• Compensation is 70,100.00 - 121,475.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
