Packaging Operator Trainee - Crew D

Overview

Packaging Operator Trainee - Crew D is responsible for operating equipment on the pack floor under a Team Lead, while meeting operation, performance, food safety, and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate pack floor equipment from the Freeze Tunnel discharge until product reaches Americold.
• Set up equipment and verify quality attributes like bag weights, seals, and codes.
• Perform operation and sanitation for the Ishida Scales/Bag Weighers and related packaging equipment.
• Order packaging materials as needed during operations.
• Maintain shadow boards (5s) and perform sanitation for the assigned area.
• Carry a radio and respond to issues in designated area(s), including completing required cleanups.
• Enter data into the LEDs computer system and attend meetings on top losses and actions.

What you'll need

• Ability to communicate effectively and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Self-motivated work style.
• Ability to go up and down stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to be on feet all day (60/40 walking/standing).
• Basic mechanical and computer aptitude.
• Understand basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.
