Overview

Parts Information Specialist role focused on creating, validating, and revising technical parts information for New Product Introduction and revision timelines.

What you'll do

• Ensure assigned parts information is accurate and complete by established deadlines.
• Prepare and compile parts information following department standards and guidelines.
• Review day-to-day work for accuracy.
• Collaborate with business process partners to meet parts serviceability requirements.
• Participate in and lead process improvement efforts.
• Communicate parts information discrepancies to data originators.

What you'll need

• Knowledge of Caterpillar product structure, engineering, and parts information databases including EDS, NPR, PRWB, and Windchill (ACM).
• Meet or exceed performance expectations for parts information production and quality.
• Provide solutions to significant technical challenges and help others solve technical or procedural issues.
• Respond effectively to parts information requests with urgency and positive action.
• Use data to identify problems and reach conclusions or judgments.
• Independently prepare oral presentations and written reports for own work.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
