Overview
The Parts Inventory Analyst leads inventory planning and readiness activities for CPI programs, ensuring parts are available across distribution centers to support effective CPI publication releases to dealers. The role collaborates with product groups, engineering, manufacturing facilities, process partners, internal customers, plants, profit centers, and other business partners to resolve supply and inventory issues, analyze performance, develop reporting solutions, and improve service, inventory turns, and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Manage inventory for CPI projects released by global product groups to address field quality issues.
- Partner with internal and external business partners to resolve issues involving parts setup, engineering releases, supplier capacity, receiving, record accuracy, and material expediting.
- Maintain minimum stock levels at each distribution center to meet corporate CPI release criteria.
- Achieve corporate CPI parts-readiness and inventory objectives for service performance and inventory turns by analyzing inventory reports and collaborating with internal customers, plants, and profit centers.
- Investigate parts availability challenges, identify root causes and potential solutions, consult management, and implement approved actions.
- Support the work group by scheduling procurement orders, converting expected demand into schedules, and applying facility stocking and distribution concepts.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and governance meetings with product groups for successful CPI completion.
- Ensure timely updates of program status in all planning and tracking systems.
What you'll need
- Degree or equivalent experience desired.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, including completing tasks with high levels of precision and identifying procedures that ensure mistake-free results.
- Basic understanding of analytical thinking, including techniques and tools for effective analysis, determining root causes, and creating alternative solutions.
- Basic understanding of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes, including collecting and synthesizing data from multiple stakeholders and sources.
- Basic understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques, including accurately transmitting, receiving, and interpreting ideas, information, and needs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management processes and methods for managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Working knowledge of problem-solving approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
- Working knowledge of standard operating procedures, including adjusting SOPs, tracking deviations and modifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and policies, and reviewing SOP efficiency.
