Overview
The Client Remediation Data Analyst supports customer remediation analytics for North America lines of business, including analysis of customer issues, impact assessment, issue management, root cause analysis and audit support.
What you'll do
- Execute a comprehensive data remediation approach for customer issues caused by gaps observed in policies and governance, self-identified issues or internal audit.
- Identify the size of the customer population and dollar amount impacted by customer issues.
- Identify issues and their causes by leveraging analytical methods.
- Track implementation plans and provide data evidence and artifacts for audit completion.
- Deliver routine and defined outputs on a daily basis.
- Manage the volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results for an area.
- Contribute to standards around which others will operate.
- Coordinate and contribute to objectives across the function.
- Guide, influence and convince colleagues in other areas and regulators.
- Plan resources in the short term.
- Use analytical thinking and data analysis tools and methodologies to interpret data and results.
- Break down information in a systematic and communicable manner.
- Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard the firm's reputation, clients and assets, comply with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate, manage and report control issues transparently.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you'll need
- At least 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Overall experience of 5-8 years with experience in a Data Analyst role.
- A Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Engineering or MBA from a premier institute.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Ability to engage resources outside of direct control to achieve objectives.
- Know-how on analytic tools such as SAS E-miner, Knowledge Seeker and SPSS.
- Exposure to SAS, SQL and RDBMS.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and VBA.
- Experience with Jira and Bitbucket.
- Business analysis, requirement gathering and data analysis skills.
- Good understanding of banking domain and consumer products, including cards, Retail Banking, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, Mortgage and Insurance.
- Communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex or sensitive information.
- Attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on factual information.
Nice to have
- Big data and machine learning experience, including R or Python.
- Experience in the banking industry.
- Good understanding of banking domain and consumer products, including cards, Retail Banking, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, Mortgage and Insurance.

- Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Work mode: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week in adherence with Citi's HWW policy.
- Schedule: Regular local working hours aligned with North America lines of business overlapping working hours.
