Pension Systems Calculations Configuration Analyst

Overview

Configure, test and maintain pension benefit calculations across Equiniti's pension platforms as part of the evolution of the Compendia and Administrator systems and the rollout of software to clients.

What you'll do

• Analyse requirements from user requirements or more detailed specifications.
• Agree the scope of work and provide accurate estimates for the work.
• Configure, test, implement and maintain pension benefit calculations across both pension platforms.
• Develop a professional, technical and commercially aware approach to delivery of tasks.
• Analyse changes and enhancements to client pension schemes and assess their impact on the software as installed for the client.

What you'll need

• Experience of configuring and/or testing complex calculations within packaged software platforms or through spreadsheet functionality.
• Technical or software development aptitude and ability.
• Ability to understand basic data schema models.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL scripts in either SQL or Oracle environment.
• Knowledge of building calculation solutions using MS Excel and utilising ASPOSE to integrate into a consuming application.
• Demonstrable software development capability.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and operational efficiencies or income generation in current role.
• Be approachable and responsive to colleagues and users, with an open-minded and constructive approach to problem solving.
• Demonstrate effective and probing appraisal of situations and consult with relevant parties in resolving issues.
• Be self-motivated, demonstrating tenacity and objectivity in problem solving.

Nice to have

• A basic understanding of UK pensions arrangements (training will be provided).
• Experience of configuration and/or testing of large scale financial or HR software platforms and systems, or a related area within platform development, configuration or testing.
• Qualifications in either a financial services or IT environment.
• Experience in the pensions industry, either as a Scheme Administrator or Business Analyst experienced in capturing requirements for pensions IT projects.
