PERC Rule Deck Development Engineer

Overview

Develop and validate PERC (Programmable Electrical Rule Checker) rule decks to ensure design electrical reliability compliance.

What you'll do

• Develop, validate, and maintain complex PERC rule decks.
• Implement PERC with the PDK team and foundry to ensure design compliance.
• Build and optimize verification flows across multiple EDA environments.
• Collaborate with device physicists and engineers to translate reliability requirements into programmable rules.
• Debug PERC violations and distinguish true reliability risks from false positives.
• Automate reliability checks using scripts and tracking across design versions.

What you'll need

• Experience developing PERC rule decks, preferably using Calibre PERC.
• Knowledge of ESD, latch-up, and reliability verification.
• Familiarity with SVRF/TVF and scripting in Python or Tcl.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Linux and scripting in Python/Shell/Tcl is desirable.
• Team player capability to work with global teams.
