Platform DR & Capacity Engineer

Overview

Platform DR & Capacity Engineer supporting platform disaster response/crisis management and ensuring business continuity through disaster recovery and capacity planning.

What you'll do

• Coordinate disaster recovery strategy, procedures, and plans across cloud and data center venues.
• Build and maintain tooling to support DR plans and track progress against KPIs and metrics.
• Ensure DR solutions are adequate, in place, maintained, and tested as part of the operational life cycle.
• Provide ongoing feedback for risk management, mitigation, and prevention.
• Regularly report disaster recovery activities.
• Develop capacity planning tooling, frameworks, policies, and strategies.
• Provide capacity requirements and impact assessments for new services or changes.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations/Production Engineering.
• Linux administration experience (day-one skill).
• Kubernetes administration experience.
• Comfort with a scripting language suitable for automation tasks.
• Understanding of recovery solutions and high availability architectures for cloud and on-prem.
• Understanding of capacity management and planning scenarios and tooling.
• Experience with Agile principles and practices.
• Expertise in problem diagnosis across complex, distributed systems.
