Platform RE Engineer - Apigee

Overview

Senior Cloud Reliability Engineer responsible for designing, operating, and improving large-scale, multi-cloud API hosting platforms. The role combines hands-on engineering with platform strategy, reliability, governance, automation, and operational support.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain IT services across more than 200 infrastructure services.
• Develop and drive adoption of enterprise cyber protection, disaster recovery, and security solutions.
• Automate software-as-a-service delivery for greater efficiency and simplicity.
• Prepare operational documentation and construction or support specifications.
• Monitor operational metrics across the cloud environment.
• Deliver tooling for cloud compliance, reporting, metrics, and cost management.
• Participate in incident resolution and change implementation, including occasional non-standard-hours support.

What you'll need

• Expert cloud engineering experience across public cloud providers.
• Expert experience with API management or hosting platforms such as Apigee or AWS API Gateway.
• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems.
• Expert knowledge of observability tools including Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Expert understanding of CI/CD, release automation, and DevOps tooling.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, API security, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with major-incident command roles and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Nice to have

• Intermediate knowledge of Ansible.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
